Dealing with Loss: the Art of Letting Go
Because life is full of loss, a healthy and dynamic life is full of opportunities for “letting go.” Sometimes the loss seems thrust upon us, as in cases of abandonment, the death of a loved one, an unwanted divorce, the “empty nest,” the loss of a job, a long-awaited retirement, or even the completion of an important project. Often, however, through self-examination, we observe in ourselves an attitude, habit, pattern, or even a relationship which which no longer serves us well, and the healthy choice to encourage our own growth (as well as the growth of all involved) is to let go. Ways of dealing with various types of loss, including techniques and resources for releasing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels, will be addressed.
