An Exploration of Near Death Experiences

An Exploration of Near Death Experiences

Thanks to doctors and researchers, there is a wealth of evidence on a compelling phenomenon common throughout the world–Near Death Experiences (NDE’s)–that is shedding new light on the age-old question, “Is there life after death?” In this class, students will benefit from the awareness gained by research on those who have had NDE’s and why they are experiencing a renewed sense of purpose, a reaffirmation of life, an alleviation of the fear of death, a greater enthusiasm for living, or a reconciliation to the loss of a loved one. You need not to have had an NDE to benefit from this class–just a desire to live a more creative, positive, and purposeful life through learning more about near death experiences. In this class, we will view the transition we call “death” from a peaceful, loving perspective by studying NDE’s in books by those from the medical and scientific world, films and various media representations, descriptions by those who have had the beneficial and life-transforming experience of an NDE, and through meditation exercises.
